All our luxury holiday cottages offer stunning views South to the Lake District hills and/or West over Castle Carrock Reservoir to the Solway Firth and Scottish Hills.

Peace & Tranquility

Set within 50 acres of it's own grounds, Tottergill Farm Holiday Cottages are perfect for a quiet get away to take a luxury break in beautiful peaceful surroundings.

Ideal Location

From the holiday cottages there is a short footpath (approx 1 mile) into the village of Castle Carrock. There is a fantastic country pub here with excellent food & friendly service. In the village there is also a small shop and a church. Other walks from our holiday cottages lead to Gelt Woods, Greenwell (riverside walks) or up Carrock fell, which offers breathtaking views.

Luxury Holiday Cottages

Our Tourist Board rated 4 and 5* self-catering holiday cottages are cosy and full of character. Many of our cottages have a Visit England Gold Award. Each one has exposed beams and it's own log burning stove. These luxury cottages have also been equipped with every modern convienience such as large LCD TVs, ipod docks and free wifi.

Accessible Cottages

Three of our cottages are graded M2 for accessibility by visit England, which means they are deamed to be suitable for part time wheelchair users and those with mobility difficulties. For more information please read our access statement.

Enjoy the outdoors

Patio doors lead out from each holiday cottage to its own enclosed garden with BBQ and garden furniture. Mill Barn, Watson Cottage, Tower Barn, Oak Cottage, Garth Cottage and Gill cottage all have their own private Jacuzzi. Pets are welcome in five of our cottages (Mill Barn, Tower Barn,Low Barn, Ash Cottage and Gill Cottage), with a maximum of 2 per cottage, except Ash Cottage which is just one.

Abundance of Wildlife

Tottergill Farm is in a designated AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). With Carrock Fell, behind Tottergill, being home to the rare black grouse. Cottage gardens are regularly visited by woodpeckers, pheasants, and an abundance of birds. We are also privileged to be in an area where red squirrels are still often seen.

Leisure Facilities

All of our guests can enjoy complimentary use of the leisure club at a nearby hotel. This includes a swimming pool, gym, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi etc, so you can relax and enjoy a little luxury.

Plenty to see and do

The historic city of Carlisle with it's Castle and Catherdal are just 12 miles away, with Hadrian's Wall even closer. Then there's the beauty of the Eden Valley, the Lake District and Scotland too; all within easy reach. With great local pubs and restaurants, a variety of places to walk, fish, golf, shop and more, there's something for everyone.

Awards

We are pleased to have been recognised for our efforts to achieve high quality accommodation. Tottergill Farm has been nominated as a finalist in the Self Catering Holiday of the Year category of the prestigious VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2013! As a finalist we now go forward to the glittering awards ceremony to be held on the 20th May 2013. We will have to wait until then to see which award we will receive.   

Tottergill Farm has also won the 'Self Catering Holiday of the Year' Cumbria Tourism Award 2010 & 2012.
