A wonderful week to unwind & relax in this beautiful countryside. Thank you.

Thanks - we have had a wonderful stay, despite the weather! Actually to see the area in the snow has been fantastic, and Toby (10) and Dan (5) took advantage of the field and the sledge we brought. The cottage is so comfortable, with everything we could need catered for. The dog beds remained by the fire, along with the dogs (who also loved the field for frisbee practice), and everyone was very happy. Hot tub used daily, though temoeratures hardly above zero - I want one at home!! Perfect area to tour from; Hadrian's Wall. N.Yorks, Penines, but especially the Lakes (even out of season). Locally, Talkin Tarn lovely for a walk on level ground (ideal for small children, also a nice playground). Dogs also enjoyed it. Very pretty in the blizzard! Thanks again, we've loved it all; a truly memorable week. PS. Thank God for log fires, central heating and a 4x4!

Definitely recommended for suprise 60th birthday celebrations - slight concern when we turned off at J43 of the M6 that I was set for a weekend of corporate hospitality at Carlisle United FC. This was much nicer. Hot tub a definite big plus. Good five hour stretch on the moorland, and an explore of Hadrian's Wall 43 years after the last one. Excellent place, excellent scenery, and excellent company - about as good as it gets really.
