What an amazing place, first time here but won't be the last. Made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived, flowers and cake was a lovely touch - thanks Joyce! Poppy our dog had a brill time, its the most we have seen her sleep at night! Done lots of walks and went to Fantails resturaunt for dinner - highly recommend. Also Brambles Bistro for lunch - nacho's were the best I have tasted! Hot tub was an added bonus at night to ease the sore legs. Views were stunning and the people very friendly. Thanks so much, had an amazing week. See you soon.

Lovely cottage and surroundings. Recommend the Tullie House Museum in Carlisle and the very beautiful stained glass windows, in St. Martin's Church Brampton. You can see drawings for some of the windows by Burne-Jones in the Tullie. If you are walkig from here to Gelt Woods keep an eye out for the fairy doors at the bottom of the trees. Go through Greenwell and where you first meet the river is a little beach with a swing, made from a branch and blue rope. Check carefully around the base of the trees. We found 6!

Fifth visit to "paradise" - or should we say "Tottergill!" Despite the not so good weather this place just gets better and better! Fabulous cottage, location and hosts. Thanks again!

Following our wedding this was an absolutely perfect place to come for a mini-honeymoon. The location is beautiful, and so private, it was just wonderful to get away and relax. We enjoyed some lovely days out to Carlisle, shooting at Green quarries, and Hadrians wall. We made use of the leisure pass to the Crown at Wetheral, and stayed for lunch to. The food was fantastic so we returned for dinner the following evening! The walk down to the village pub, The Duke of Cumberland, was lovely even if the walk back up the hill with full tummies was a bit more difficult! The jacuzzi was absolutely fantastic. I don't think Daniel has stopped talking about where he is going to find room for one at home!! Thank you Ken for your lovely welcome, making sure we knew where everything was, and thank you to the whole family for all the lovely little touches & surprises! We can't wait to come back again, Daniel is already talking about our anniversary!!

We came for a long weekend to celebrate our friends birthday. Beautiful cottage, well kitted out & comfortable. Views to die for from every angle. Lots of good walks and the hot tub was amazing. Would recommend very highly and I'm sure we will return at some point in the future. Many Thanks.

Fab cottage, more like a hotel! , in stunning, peaceful surroundings. Met up with friends for a meal at The Duke of Cumberland, Castle Carrock, food there very good, friendly staff. Had a wonderful walk round Talkin Tarn - beautiful area. Thank you for the chocolates, biscuits, milk - we hope to return.

Thoughfully equipped and beautiful holiday cottage in an area of great beauty - saw a deer on the hill behind the house. Lovely meals at Capernaum Bistro in Brampton, The Black Smith's Arms at Talkin & The Duke of Cumberland in Castle Carrock. Used the hot tub & The Crown Hotel. Visited Talkin Tarn, Carlisle Castle & Walby Farm Park - First Class.
